Flagstaff’s community choir

The Master Chorale of Flagstaff is a community choir established for those who love to sing and share the sounds of quality choral music. This choir is made up of individuals of all ages and backgrounds and provides members with the opportunity to grow and learn from each other and the music director, Matthew Myers.

The Master Chorale holds auditions for new singers in August and early January every year held on the Northern Arizona University campus. The Master Chorale is always interested in welcoming new singers to the group, so please feel free to invite friends and family to audition.  Periodically, returning members to the choir should expect to re-audition.  This year, ALL returning members should plan to audition.  See below for specific information on auditions.

During the season, rehearsals are held every Tuesday evening, from 7:00 to 9:15 PM on the NAU campus. One or two dress rehearsals are held just prior to every concert.  The first four weeks of rehearsal will include voice placements for certain voice parts until 9:30 PM.  See below for more specific information regarding the first month of rehearsals.

If you are interested in singing in the Arizona Mountain Chorale, you do not need to prepare any additional audition music.  Simply indicate on your Google Form submission that you plan to audition for AMC.

AMC’s first rehearsal will be Tuesday, September 13th from 6:00 – 7:00pm.  AMC will rehearse on a weekly basis this season.  AMC will primarily perform a cappella repertoire throughout the 2016-17 season.

Singer/Members pay dues as established by the Board of Directors. Dues have been set to $135 for the 2016-2017 season. There is also the option to pay for the Fall only ($70) or the Spring only ($70).
