Your “Need to Know”
During the season, rehearsals are held every Tuesday evening, from 7:00 to 9:30 PM on the NAU campus. Attendance at rehearsals is required. One or two dress rehearsals are held just prior to every concert.
Dues: Singer/Members pay dues as established by the Board of Directors. Dues have been set to $135 for the 2016-2017 season. There is also the option to pay for the Fall only ($70) or the Spring only ($70). No qualified singer who passes the audition will be turned away for lack of ability to pay. In these cases, payment options can be discussed with the treasurer and/or business manager.
You can make your payment of membership dues by logging in with your membership access and using our online payment HERE. You may also pay with cash or check at the first rehearsal.
Music: Generally, the Chorale purchases the music we use. However, from time to time you may be required to purchase your own music score. For instance, you are expected to purchase your own copy of Handel’s Messiah for our annual seasonal performance.
Music Folder: You need to have a black binder or folder for performances.
Concert Dress: Women are expected to purchase their chorale dress through the Costume Chair, and provide their own black shoes and black hose. Men are expected to furnish their own black tuxedo (personal, borrowed or rented), and must also provide their own white tuxedo shirt, black bow tie, black shoes and socks.
